Introduction
When you visit our website, information about you is collected, which is used to customize and improve our content and to increase the value of the advertisements displayed on the site. If you do not want information to be collected, you should delete your cookies (see instructions) and refrain from further use of the website. Below we have explained what information is collected, its purpose and which third parties have access to it.

Cookies
The website uses "cookies", which are text files that are stored on your computer, mobile phone or similar device for the purpose of recognizing it, remembering settings, performing statistics and targeting advertisements. Cookies cannot contain harmful code such as viruses.

Personal information

Generally
Personal data is all kinds of information that can be attributed to you to some extent. When you use our website, we collect and process a number of such information. This happens, for example, when accessing content in general, if you sign up for our newsletter, participate in competitions or surveys, register as a user or subscriber, otherwise use services or make purchases via the website.

We typically collect and process the following types of information: A unique ID and technical information about your computer, tablet or mobile phone, your IP number, geographical location, and which pages you click on (interests). To the extent that you give explicit consent to this and enter the information yourself, the following are also processed: Name, telephone number, email, address and payment information. This will typically be in connection with creating a login or when making a purchase.

Security
We process your personal data securely and confidentially in accordance with applicable legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act.
Your information will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will be deleted when this purpose has been fulfilled or is no longer relevant.
We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent your information from being accidentally or illegally deleted, published, lost, degraded or made available to unauthorized persons, misused or otherwise processed in violation of the law.

Purpose
The information is used to identify you as a user and show you the advertisements that are most likely to be relevant to you, to record your purchases and payments, and to provide the services you have requested, such as sending a newsletter. We also use the information to optimize our services and content.

Processing of personal data in the app and the Scanfit device Health data and consent

When using the Scanfit app and scale, health information such as weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, BMI, body age, heart rate, and visceral/subcutaneous fat analyses are collected and processed. This information is processed based on your explicit consent , and solely for the purpose of offering you health insights and personalized analyses.

Integration with Apple Health If you choose, data can be synced with Apple Health. This requires your explicit consent in the app, and you can turn off syncing at any time.

Transfer to third parties and countries outside the EU

We use, among others, Firebase (Google), Mixpanel, RevenueCat and Superwall, which may process your data outside the EU. We ensure compliance with GDPR by using standard contractual clauses (SCC) and other necessary security measures.

Your rights in the app:

You have the right to access, correct, delete or transfer your data. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us at kundeservice@scanfit.dk to exercise your rights.

This extension is part of our overall terms of use and privacy policy for the Scanfit app and hardware.

Period of storage
The information is stored for the period permitted by law and we delete it when it is no longer necessary. The period depends on the nature of the information and the reason for storage. It is therefore not possible to specify a general timeframe for when information is deleted.

Disclosure of information
Data about your use of the website, which advertisements you receive and possibly click on, geographical location, gender and age segment, etc. are passed on to third parties to the extent that this information is known. You can see which third parties are involved in the section on "Cookies" above. The information is used for targeting advertising.

We also use a number of third parties to store and process data. These parties only process information on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Disclosure of personal information such as name and email, etc. will only occur if you consent to it. We only use data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with adequate protection.

Insights and complaints
You have the right to be informed about what personal data we process about you in a common format (data portability). You can also object to the use of information at any time. You can also withdraw your consent to the processing of information about you. If the information processed about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted. If you want to complain about our processing of your personal data, you also have the option of contacting the Danish Data Protection Agency.
